Meeting the challenges of a one-man show
Tech Next Door is unique enterprise with simple goal… Make IT support and cybersecurity easy for businesses. Today, we are succeeding in that goal by allowing many small and medium businesses to focus on growth and productivity and not on computer issues or cybercrime.
In the beginning Joel LaRusic was the proud owner of a boutique IT firm, starting solo and gradually expanding to a small team.
Despite its size, his business stood out in the crowded MSP market because clients appreciated the personalized attention only an owner can provide.
Yet, Joel faced the classic entrepreneur’s dilemma: juggling the dual roles of business manager and top-notch technician. His days were a blur of service calls and on-the-fly phone support, which was far from ideal. Marketing took a backseat, and personal time became a luxury he could hardly afford.
Realizing the power of collaboration, Joel reached out to similar-sized IT businesses, finding synergy and shared success.
This sparked an idea: what if these independent IT wizards could band together? Under a collective banner, they could leverage their strengths and create a network of peer support.
